Freedom’s Journal Magazine needed a face-lift in the identity department. We helped them to connect with their historic roots and bring it to the forefront of their logo. The visuals started with a font treatment that is a re-imagining of the font used in the original 1800′s Freedom’s Journal publication. We then enlisted the help of the talented Kristen Williams to illustrate the first black U.S. Congressmen. The end result is a logo identity that translates well when used in parts or as a whole.
